Aggregate patterns across current postings in this dataset. Skill counts come from the same auto-extraction that powers the skills filter; salary ranges are best-effort, extracted from postings that happen to disclose pay in their own text. Most don't, so this is a partial picture, not a full market survey. See the FAQ for how the rest of this data is sourced.
Skill demand over time
Average postings per week for the most in-demand skills, since July 2026. The current month is still in progress, so it's shown as a weekly rate rather than a raw count. A raw count would look like a drop-off just for having fewer days behind it so far. Until September 2026 a posting was deleted from our database once it closed, which quietly ate into the history: the older a month got, the fewer of its postings were left to count, so every line sloped upward toward the present whether or not demand had actually grown. Closed postings are now kept and counted, which fixes it from here on. Months before September 2026 are still missing the postings that closed during them, so read the early part of these lines as a floor rather than a measurement.

Job function demand over time
Average postings per week for the most in-demand job functions (backend, data, sales, and so on), since July 2026. Same weekly-rate treatment as skill demand above, for the same reason: the current month is still in progress.

Remote, hybrid, or in office
Current open postings by where the work happens. This is read from each posting's own location text, because almost no employer publishes work arrangement as a structured field. Remote and hybrid are counted only where the posting says so. "In office" is the weakest of the four, since it means a named place with no mention of remote or hybrid anywhere in it, and plenty of hybrid roles never use the word. Postings that name no place at all, such as a bare "3 Locations", are counted as not stated rather than assumed to be office jobs.

Countries of listings
Current open postings by country, based on each listing's stated location. A meaningful share of postings don't state a specific country at all (e.g. a bare "Remote" with nothing else, or a placeholder like "3 Locations"). Those are grouped as "Unspecified" below rather than guessed at or hidden.
